Chesterfield’s Tommy Lee will be eligible to face Bristol City this weekend, after the goalkeeper’s red card against Sheffield United was overturned following a Spireites appeal.
Lee was shown the red card after bringing down United’s Ryan Flynn at the Proact on Saturday, with Chesterfield going on to win 3-2.
The decision was made at a meeting of The FA’s Regulatory Commission. “From the evidence adduced the members ruled that it was a case of wrongful dismissal,” said an FA spokesperson.
Spireites assistant-manager Leam Richardson added: “Tommy has been playing well for us this season and we are pleased that he will be available this weekend.”
