Despite AFC Wimbledon’s position at the foot of the League Two table and their 3-0 midweek defeat at leaders Port Vale, Neal Ardley’s side have started to turn things round of late.
Ahead of their weekend visit to the Proact Stadium, the Dons loss at Vale Park ended a run of five games without defeat.
They started 2013 with a 3-2 win at Torquay United and followed that up with another road victory, 1-0 at Rochdale. A trio of home draws against Wycombe, Port Vale and Burton followed before Tuesday’s defeat.
Goals have not been a problem for the Dons but they have recorded just one clean sheet in 14 league matches.
Veteran goalkeeper Neil Sullivan, formerly of Doncaster Rovers, has ex-Ireland International Alan Bennett and the giant Mat Mitchel-King in front of him. Bennett made his debut at Vale having been released by Cheltenham Town.
Ardley will also welcome back midfielder Jonathan Meades after missing the midweek game as he was involved with the Welsh U21 team.
