Paul Cook believes the depth of talent within his squad at Chesterfield can only bode well for the future of the club.
The Spireites boss hasn’t been afraid to dip into non-league for players, with Aaron Chapman, Matty Brown, Ollie Banks and Dan Gardner all making the step up.
Cook said: “We’ve got great depth. We’re lucky that the recruitment at the club has been very good. The chief scout, Paul Mitchell, deserves a lot of credit as does the chairman and the directors because sometimes when you’re recruiting, they’re not ready for today. We have a lot of lads being groomed who are going to be good players and I think that can only be good for the club in the future.”
