JAY O’Shea is happy with the style of football Chesterfield are playing.

But the midfielder, who has scored three goals in the last four games, would trade his goals for more wins.

The Irishman, recruited from MK Dons, said: “We’re playing some lovely stuff, but we need to start winning games. It’s not good enough losing and drawing games, especially if we want to be promoted.

“I’d rather be winning than scoring because our aim is to go up and we won’t do that by me scoring goals but the team only drawing.”

Paul Cook’s side play with just one up front, but behind Marc Richards are a trio of attacking midfielders and O’Shea commented: “It seems to be working well.”

Spireites Derbyshire FA Senior Cup semi-final match at Matlock Town has been re-scheduled for February Tuesday 19, kick-off 7.45pm. Admission is £9 for adults, £5.50 for seniors & juniors but just £2 for children (U15) attending with a paying adult.
