SPIREITES’ ex- Sheffield United striker Scott Boden has joined Conference National side Alfreton Town on loan until 20th April.
The 23-year-old who joined Chesterfield in 2008 after a spell in Finland, has scored one goal in 11 appearances this season, six of them as starts. A 24 hour recall clause is able to be used.
Boden’s place on the first team bench has been taken by French signing Armand Gnanduillet who scored in the reserves’ 4-2 win over Belper Town in the County Cup on Tuesday. The 6’4” Ivorian is raw but strong and quick.
Coach John Dungworth was pleased with what he saw in Gnanduillet’s performance as well as that of new right back Richard Brindley, signed from Chelmsford City. Dungworth said: “Armand took his goal well. He was very positive when he picked up the ball and it was a great strike.
“Towards the end of the game, he had another great effort.
“Richard looked energetic and full of confidence. He got forward well in the first-half and he looked a threat. In terms of defending, he did quite well in the second-half.”
