CHESTERFIELD had the better of possession at Accrington today, but could not capitalise on their territorial advantage and lost to a single goal.

The teams had gone in 0-0 at half time. although the Spireites deserved better.

The visitors maintained their pressure after the interval, Luis Boa Morte a thorn in Accrington’s side.

Jack Lester forced a save from Cameron Belford, too.

But Stanley held firm and then went ahead.
