BARNBY Dun clinched the runners-up spot in the Doncaster Sunday Alliance League Premier Division table after beating Acorn (Tom Page) 2-1 in their final game of the season.

Championship leaders Canal Tavern, who clinched the title several weeks ago, beat fourth-placed Conisbrough Conyers 3-0 in their penultimate league game.

Kirk Frost bagged a brace for the winners with Darren Brown also getting in on the act.

A Mark Richardson hat-trick helped second-placed Sprotbrough beat fifth-placed Armthorpe 5-3. Richard Smith and Jonathon Murfin also chipped in with goals.

Fourth-placed Wheatley Hotel kept their Division One title hopes alive when romping to a 9-0 win over lowly Alverley Inn. Andrew Vipond helped himself to five of the goals.

South Kirkby Colliery received a walkover against Division Three visitors Waggies, who failed to raise a side.
