IT won’t be as noisy as Sheffield United’s play-off victory over Stevenage but the celebrations will be just as joyous for the winners when Bramall Lane stages two major Sunday Cup Finals over the next two days.
Tonight, Royal Earl bid to become the first team in the Meadowhall Sunday League’s 48-year history to win the League Cup for a third successive season. Out to stop them will be fellow Premier Division side Handsworth Turf Tavern, making their first appearance in this final.
Tomorrow sees the Lane staging the Sheffield and Hallamshire FA Sunday Senior Cup Final between Athersley Rec and Swinton WMC (7pm). Both are past winners, Athersley three times, Swinton once.
