Reds hitsback at Forest over £5 tickets
BARNSLEY have hit back at Nottingham Forest over criticism they have not offered visiting fans the chance to purchase special £5 tickets for their meeting on April 4.
The Reds slashed ticket prices for home fans to a fiver for the visit of Forest - but excluded away fans from the deal.
A Forest club spokesman said: "We were happy to make a gesture (of reduced priced tickets] to Barnsley fans earlier in the season, it's extremely disappointing that it has not been reciprocated.
"We have been informed by the Football League that it is the clubs themselves who determine the regulations for ticket prices and there is nothing we can do about the issue. We will, however, learn from the experience."
Forest fans can expect to pay roughly 19.
Tickets can be bought for a fiver up until Friday, April 3 at 7pm. Any tickets purchased after that time will be charged at the normal match rate.
Reds' Reserves drew 1-1 with unbeaten league leaders Huddersfield Town last night thanks to a goal from Dennis Souza.
Having refused to be a substitute for the Reds' first team against Crystal Palace last week, the Brazilian defender was subject to some strong words from Oakwell boss Simon Davey.
But Souza responded in the perfect fashion, netting a 69th minute equaliser.
