Reds may struggle to keep de Silva

BARNSLEY boss Simon Davey has revealed he might be hard pushed to keep Brazilian playmaker Anderson de Silva at the club.

De Silva, a favourite with Reds fans, has already been subject to two bids from fellow Championship club Bristol City.

But although Davey has rejected both he admitted: "Every player has a price, so we'll have to see what happens.

"I don't want to lose him, Anderson is an integral part of our team.

"Bristol came in with a bid and we rejected it - and then they came in with an improved offer, but that bid was not accepted either."

Davey has made no secret of his desire to sign Rangers midfielder Charlie Graham, a player who has impressed both in Scotland and while on loan to Blackpool last season.

"We've had one bid rejected, but the process is ongoing," added Davey. "We've had plenty of conversations with Rangers but it takes time and we're still talking.Unfortunately we've not found that magic number yet. We'll keep trying.

"We had him (Charlie] monitored in Scotland and then he impressed me when he played against us for Blackpool.

"He's only 23, played for Rangers and I believe he's capable of a lot of success in our division."
