Davey bides his time in chase for Rangers ace
BARNSLEY boss Simon Davey is still pursuing a deal to bring highly-rated Rangers midfielder Charlie Adam to Oakwell.
Davey has already had a bid turned down for the 23-year-old playmaker, the Scot having also attracted the interest of Reading and Blackpool - the latter with whom he played on last season.
"He's on our list of players we want to bring into the football club; he's a player who would improve us," Davey told The Star.
"We're still looking at trying to do a deal, but these things take time and we've got to be patient.
We've not signed anyone yet (other than development player Onome Sodje), but we're working persistently to get new players in.
"We've identified players we want, but I'm not going to panic and rush and get someone and them not be right for the football club.
"We need the type of player who will fit in well with the club."
