Canary test for high flying Reds

BARNSLEY boss Mark Robins is looking forward to a return to his old stamping ground tomorrow.

Robins' men take on promoted Norwich City and the former Canaries striker, who spent a successful spell there 1992-1995, wants his team to extend their current unbeaten run to four games.

CONFIDENT HASSELL

The Tykes have collected seven points from their last three league outings with victories over Crystal Palace and Middlesbrough, as well as a draw with Bristol City.

The Canaries test is the start of three tough games in nine days. "It's a big week or so for us, we've got three really tough games - but ones we can look forward to" Robins said. "Norwich were by far the best team in League One last season and they've done well this season. Their form as been similar to us, they started with a defeat and have improved. Carrow Road can be a very intimidating place with a partisan crowd.

"But we've made a good start to the season and I've been pleased with the players, especially seeing we lost our opening two games. We've got to take each game on its merits, but we've heard that around 5,500 tickets have been sold for the Leeds game on Tuesday, which is brilliant. That's why you're in football for those occasions. And then we've got the Derby County game. It's an exciting run of games for us and one which I hope we'll perform to our best in.

"But first it's Norwich and I want the lads to build on the excellent win we had against Middlesbrough."

Defender Stephen Foster added: "Confidence is high at the moment on the back of two good home wins and, what will prove be, a very good point at Bristol City even if we were disappointed at the time. We went away from home and scored three goals and we have to take a lot of confidence from that into's Saturday's game.

"We have to get back to keeping a clean sheet away." Argentinian midfielder Hugo Colace is a doubt for tomorrow game with a calf strain.
