Boss Hill denies rift with Haynes

BARNSLEY boss Keith Hill has denied rumours a fall-out with Danny Haynes has led to the player being transfer-listed.

Hill has told Haynes he has no future at the club, with the player already linked with a potential move to Charlton Athletic.

And with Scunthorpe marksman Chris Dagnall having joined the Reds, Haynes now knows his Oakwell career is coming to a close.

“There’s been interest in Danny, but nothing concrete at the moment,” revealed Hill. “He got injured at the wrong time in the season and probably got a little bit impatient with respect to being a substitute. He wants to play, but when you consider the form Ricardo’s (Vaz Te) been in and Craig Davies, then it’s been difficult to get him in the side.

“I’m not suggesting Danny’s not a good player, but he’s probably best now finding a new footballing home.”
