BARNSLEY boss Keith Hill says it’s time he looked after number one to safeguard his managerial future.
Four successive defeats had seen Hill under pressure, but Saturday’s battling 1-1 draw away to Bolton restored welcome confidence for the Reds.
“The players will always remain at the club, but I’ve got to look after Keith Hill,” he told The Star.
“I’ve spent a lot of time looking after the players, but they’ve got to accept responsibility.
“I’ve worked hard to get to the Championship and I ain’t just going to throw it away and allow the players to keep getting away with mistakes.
“I intend to stay in the Championship. I’ve got to make some tough decisions and I will do, there’s no question about that.”
