BARNSLEY boss David Flitcroft will step up his search for a new loan left-back this week with regular starter Scott Goldbourne ruled out for the rest of the season with knee ligament damage.
Tom Kennedy played at left-back in Saturday’s disappointing 5-3 defeat at Bristol City, but Flitcroft wants cover in that position with Goldbourne out having had surgery for his injury.
“The search is continuous,” Flitcroft told The Star. “We’ve had quite a few ‘nos’ and quite a few ‘maybes’, so we’ll see where that goes on Monday and Tuesday.
“But we’re certainly looking at every different avenue of trying to replace Scott.”
