BARNSLEY midfielder Paul Digby has had an operation for a hip tear but won’t return until towards the end of the season.
Teenager Digby was tipped to feature this season for the Reds but has not started a first-team game because of his injury.
“Diggers has been training with the first team since he was 16 - and it’s taken it’s toll on his body,” Reds boss Davod Flitcroft said. “His growth doesn’t seem to be stopping, but he’s had an operation so hopefully that sorts out his injury.”
