BARNSLEY: Hungarian ace pens Reds deal

BARNSLEY swooped yesterday to sign former FC Porto and Queen’s Park Rangers midfielder Akoz Buzsaky on loan until December 31.

The Hungarian international, a free agent, signed a short-term deal with Portsmouth and played six times for Pompey in League One.

But the lure of a chance to return to the Championship proved too tempting as Reds boss Keith Hill secured his third loan signing in as many days.

“I’ve wanted to sign him [Buzsaky] for a long time, he’s someone I wanted to sign in the summer,” said boss Keith Hill. “He’s a great player. He’s got Premier League experience and a good addition to the squad.”

Meanwhile, Reds director has dismissed rumours that Everton have made an official enquiry about trying to sign promising young defender John Stones.

“We’ve had no approach from Everton for John, it’s just speculation,” Rowing told The Star.
