Barnsley: Hill keen to keep Bobby

Barnsley: Reds report. news and more.

Barnsley: Reds report. news and more.

BARNSLEY boss Keith Hill has ruled out sending Bobby Hassell out on loan despite the club’s longest-serving player having struggled to cement a first-team place this season.

Hassell has not played for nearly a month and last started a game back on October 2 in the club’s 2-0 home defeat to Peterborough United.

He will miss this afternoon’s away clash with Bolton Wanderers with a hamstring injury.

“Do I want Bobby Hassell to go out on loan? Definitely not,” said Hill.

“He’s definitely central to our plans but in only one area of the field and that’s in central midfield and as a defensive midfielder. We’ve had that conversation and we’re both on the same page.”
