Barnsley: David Flitcroft’s tribute to ‘masterpiece’

BARNSLEY boss David Flitcroft says the club’s destiny remains in their own hands after a fine 3-2 win at promotion-chasing Middlesbrough.

The Reds are unbeaten in their last seven matches in all competitions and getting closer to safety

“Our destiny remains in our hands,” said Flitcroft. “We’ll keep going toe-to-toe with these teams and hopefully by the end of the season we’ll have done enough.

“There are no easy games for us, but we will not surrender our status without a fight.

“Every time we play I ask the players to go out there and give me a masterpiece.

“They are achieving their potential and if we keep hitting those levels we’ll be ok.”
