BARNSLEY: David Flitcroft loyal to safety-seekers

DAVID Flitcroft, Barnsley’s caretaker boss, says the players are determined to get themselves out of their sticky situation at the foot of the Championship table.

The Reds host Yorkshire rivals Leeds United, kick-off 3pm, tomorrow.

“Some of these players have played in League One before and don’t want to go back there,” he told The Star. “I am not going to walk out on them because it is important when times are hard you try and lead from the front.

“I am really positive and I am working with a group who I want to work with.”
