Former Sheffield Wednesday forward Benik Afobe has been named in Gareth Southgate’s England Under-21s squad ahead of the 2015 European Championship.
Afobe, who was on loan at the Owls last year, joins Southgate’s 27-man squad ahead of the tournament which runs from June 17-30 in the Czech Republic.
Former Barnsley youth player John Stones and loanee Jack Butland have also been named. While Michael Keane, twin brother of Sheffield Wednesday loanee Will, has also been called up.
Gareth Southgate’s England side have won 13 of their last 14 matches.
England have been grouped with Italy, Portugal and Sweden.
