BARNSLEY winger Matt Done is confident the Reds can be successful in the Championship next season.
The Reds promised much this term after an impressive start but fell away badly in the second half of the campaign.
But Done, having caught the eye in his first season in the second tier of English football, believes the Reds can only get better.
“The results we had weren’t the best at the back end of the season, but the team that started the season was a lot different to the team that finished,” admitted Done.
“We’re going to take the positives from this season and build on them. We’ll probably have a new squad next year, but we’ll be fine. Without a doubt we’ve got what it takes to do well.
“And we’ve got some good young players as well, I’m sure they’ll be in the gaffer’s [Keith Hill] plans for next season.
“I’ve enjoyed every minute of this year. It’s been difficult at times, the games come thick and fast.
“It was hard trying to be 100 per cent fit for every game with there being so many, but I have loved it.
“The difference between League One and the Championship is putting your chances away. Hopefully I can score a few more goals for next season.”
