BARNSLEY boss Keith Hill has spoken of his injury concerns after three of his players were forced out of Tuesday night’s 2-0 friendly win against Wednesday early.

Goalkeeper Luke Steele, Danny Haynes and Jacob Butterfield picked up knocks, with the latter escorted away for an X-ray on what fortunately turned out to be just a badly bruised foot.

Hill said: “We can’t afford to be picking up injuries, I need players like Jacob. He’s a good player and I want him to be part of a winning environment.”
