Barnsley defender Scott Golbourne is set to be unveiled as a Wolves player today.
The Star understands Golbourne has agreed to sign for the League One club for a £500,000 fee.
And the left-back, who joined the Reds in January 2012 on a two and a half year deal, is expected to sign a three-year contract at Molineux having successfully passed a medical yesterday.
Golbourne, aged 25, missed much of last season because of a medial knee ligament injury, but could make his debut for Kenny Jackett’s side away to Port Vale on Saturday. When he did play for the Reds last season he was arguably one of the team’s best players, so he will be a loss to the Championship club.
And some people will question why the former Bristol City and Exeter City full-back is taking a drop in divisions when has made good strides in the Championship since arriving at Oakwell.
And some people will also question why Reds boss David Flitcroft was willing to sell the defender at a time when his misfiring team are facing a defensive crisis.
Meanwhile, the Reds away clash with Ipswich Town is to be shown live on Sky Sports, with the match switched from Saturday 2nd November to a 7.45pm kick-off on Friday 1st November.
