BARNSLEY have been hit with a £5,000 fine by The FA following last Saturday’s player melee at home to Leicester City.
The Reds have until 4pm on Monday to respond to the charge and decide whether they’ll lodge an appeal.
But Reds director Don Rowing has told The Star that it’s very likely the club with be forced to “swallow” the fine because they risk it being increased if they were to lose their appeal.
Leicester have also been found in breach of FA rule E20 - a failure to ensure players conduct themselves in an orderly fashion and/or refrain from provocative behaviour.
