BARNSLEY owner Patrick Cryne has revealed he still rues the day the club opted not to sign Blackpool playmaker Charlie Adam.
Cryne told The Star: “We had a chance to sign Charlie and didn’t, of course I rue that decision.
“We maybe lost our way, but you tend to make good decisions when you’re doing well and bad decisions when things aren’t going so well. Perhaps we weren’t brave enough to sign him.
“He wasn’t out of our reach but we didn’t sign him.”
Cryne has stressed the need to make “wiser and better decisions” to take the club forward.
But he added: “The pluses for me are that we’ve never really been drawn into it [the relegation battle] and we had a very good first half to the season.”
