Chris O’Grady has admitted he and his Barnsley team-mates are “desperate” to impress to prove that manager David Flitcroft is the right man for the job at Oakwell.
The Reds have struggled for form in a tough start to the Championship and were languishing in the relegation zone ahead of this weekend’s South Yorkshire derby with Doncaster Rovers.
But a welcome three-game unbeaten run has understandably raised spirits in the Reds’ ranks with O’Grady confident the club can now get up a head of steam.
“We’re [me and the rest of the players] are all desperate to show what is going on is not down to the manager,” revealed O’Grady, speaking exclusively to The Green ‘Un.
