There may only be one league game apiece in the record books but it is time for a break for cup action - and you can follow all the action live on the Star website.

After varying fortunes on the opening day of the season, five of our clubs will tonight either look to maintain momentum or kick start their seasons in the Capital One Cup.

And for the new season we have launched our Matchday Live service, which you can access on this link.

Sheffield United will be keen to bounce back from their shock mauling at Gillingham when they travel to League Two Morecambe.

And Sheffield Wednesday will hope for consecutive home wins when they host Mansfield Town after beating Bristol City at the weekend.

Rotherham United are desperate to shake off the memories of Saturday’s error-strewn defeat to MK Dons with a morale-boosting win at home to Cambridge United.

A familiar face welcomes the visit of Barnsley tonight as the Reds visit League One rivals Scunthorpe United, managed by former boss Mark Robins.

And Dean Saunders will look to maintain the winning start to his tenure at Chesterfield by winning at Carlisle United.
