Dale Jennings is finally starting to find his feet at Barnsley – and not before time.
Plenty was expected from the youngster when he signed for the Reds back in June last year.
But Jennings hardly featured during David Flitcroft’s reign as manager and found himself cast aside and sent out on loan at League One MK Dons.
However, Danny Wilson’s return to Oakwell has seen Jennings given the chance to re-ignite his career.
And Jennings, who was famously signed by five-time European champions Bayern Munich from his boyhood club Tranmere Rovers in 2011 aged 19, wants to repay Wilson’s faith in him.
“The manager has a lot of belief in me, which is good,” revealed Jennings. “It makes you want to repay him with good performances on the pitch.”
