BARNSLEY asst boss David Flitcroft is confident the Reds have the perfect “partnership” to guide them next season.
Flitcroft and his best mate Keith Hill, the Reds’ new manager, are as ambitious as they come.
“We were best pals together when we played with each other at Rochdale,” Flitcroft told The Star. “We used to room together and became really good mates. Now we spend a lot of time together. We’re massively honest with each other. In this partnership he knows I’ll never let him down and I won’t tell him a lie.
“In football there’s a lot of ‘yes’ men and I’m not one of them people. I see a lot of people who take the easy decision to stay in football, but we’re not in it just to stay there. We’re a different generation.
“We’re confident we can be successful, we’re hard-workers and that’s going to be the ethic at the club.”
