Barnsley were beaten by Ligue 1 club Bordeaux tonight at Oakwell in an entertaining match.
The visitors went ahead on 12 minutes after a good move by the six times French champions - Czech international Jaroslav Plasil with the strike.
And they doubled their advantage five minutes into the second half through Hadi Sacko.
However, on 66 minutes Tomasz Cywka, one of 11 Reds substitutes who came on, made it 2-1 with an excellent goal.
And moments later Jason Scotland nearly levelled but his header hit the post.
Bordeaux made the match safe in stoppage time with another good goal through Maxime Poundje.
