FABRICE Muamba will make a guest appearance at Barnsley FC on Bank Holiday Monday (May 6) as part of a festival run by former Reds player Bruce Dyer and current defender Bobby Hassell.
Muamba, whose heart stopped for over an hour during a match, will be at Oakwell to sign copies of his autobiography ‘I’m Still Standing’.
The 24-year-old will share his remarkable story with fans at the Love Life Festival, with the main event of the day being an exhibition match between a Dyer XI against a Hassell Legends team. “It promises to be an historic event for the town,” said Dyer.
The Star has backed a campaign to bring defibrillators to local pitches.
