Boss asks Oakwell fans for patience

BARNSLEY boss Keith Hill has no doubt that he will be successful - he just wants patience from supporters.

“Given time and given the opportunity to develop, as well as the right ingredients and the right tools, we will be successful,” he says.

“It’s a transitional period for the club in the same way Chelsea are going through a transitional period. They’ve bottled it and dismissed their manager, which is a real shame because you’re asking owners to be strong.

“The players are strong here and we can’t recruit like Chelsea can recruit.

“The difference between recruiting in League One and in the Championship is massive.

“We allow players to develop.

“That’s whether it’s players we’re recruiting who haven’t had Championship experience or whether it’s players that we’re recruiting from within, like Paul Digby, for example, from the academy.”
