Bookmakers reckon it’s a draw at best for Owls

Sheffield Wednesday aren’t fancied to get back to winning ways tonight following their loss at Crystal Palace, BetVictor making the Owls 11/4 outsiders as they visit Brighton.

The Seagulls, Skybet’s 11/10 favourites, have won their last couple so a point, available via Stan James at 12/5, wouldn’t be a bad return for Dave Jones’ troops, who are 6/1 courtesy of BetVictor to secure a 1-1 draw.

Wednesday supporters, however, might prefer to bet more positively; for them bet365 offer 9/2 for an away victory by a one-goal margin and it’s 11/1 (Ladbrokes) for the Owls to win 2-1.

Sheffield United welcome Bury to Bramall Lane tomorrow. Danny Wilson’s men have won both of their home matches so far and bookies expect them to make it three out of three on their own patch, BetVictor installing United as 8/15 favourites to beat the Shakers, Skybet’s 6/1 outsiders.

A second consecutive draw is a 3/1 shot at Stan James and William Hill post 15/2 against another 1-1 scoreline but the visitors remain winless after their five games and have suffered back-to-back defeats so the Blades look a safe bet ahead of this one.

As Wilson’s charges could prevail comfortably, consider the handicaps where Paddy Power penalise United by a goal at odds of 7/5.

More specifically, Ladbrokes rate United 13/2 to notch twice without reply and Skybet quote 6/5 for the hosts to lead at the end of each half.

Despite home advantage, Barnsley are Stan James’ 5/2 outsiders as they welcome table-topping Blackpool to Oakwell and Skybet rate the Tykes at an identical price to secure a share of the spoils.

In League One, Colchester have yet to pick up a maximum haul so Dean Saunders’ Doncaster arguably look a touch overpriced at 15/8 with BetVictor as the pair meet at the Weston Home Community Stadium.

In League Two, Chesterfield should be on course for their first victory as they host Wycombe, Ladbrokes making the Spireites even money to send the Chairboys home empty-handed. Rotherham are odds-on at 9/10 (Stan James) to overcome Torquay.
