Barnsley have today signed Crystal Palace defender Jack Hunt on loan until the end of the season.
Hunt becomes manager Danny Wilson’s fifth new signing since returning to Oakwell - and teams up with fellow Eagles loan player Peter Ramage
who has been on loan at Oakwell since September.
The 23-year-old has not played since August for his former club Huddersfield Town when he featured as a second half substitute.
In fact the Yorkshire-born full-back has only played four games this season having broken an ankle soon after his rumoured £2 million move to
Selhurst Park in September.
Wilson said: “He’s been injured for a while and is short of match practice but we know enough about him to know what a terrific player he is.”
The Reds chief has signed Hunt to cover for Ryan McLaughlin, the Liverpool loan right-back who faces two to four weeks on the sidelines after suffering a hamstring injury in yesterday’s 2-2 draw with Blackburn Rovers.
