Danny Wilson has added yet another player to the Barnsley ranks after securing the signing of Wycombe Wanderers midfielder Josh Scowen.
The 21 year-old has played an integral role in taking Wycombe to the top of League Two and is available to make his debut in Saturday’s South Yorkshire derby with Doncaster Rovers.
Wilson said of his latest capture: “We’ve identified what we feel is one of the best players in the division. He’s highly regarded by his team-mates and those he’s played against this season.
“We’re looking forward to working with him. He gives us tenacity and adds strength to the team. Looking at him, he’s got the heart of a lion - that’s what we need and what we want.”
It’s been a transfer window for the Reds boss who has already brought to Oakwell former Chelsea youngster Milan Lalkovic and agreed loan deals for Stoke striker George Waring, Manchester United midfielder Ben Pearson and Chelsea starlet Alex Kiwomya.
