Barnsley have completed the signing of striker Leroy Lita on a one-year deal.
Lita becomes the Reds’ third forward signing of the summer following the arrivals of Kane Hemmings and Sam Winnall.
The 29-year-old was released by Swansea at the end of last season after making just six starts in a three year spell.
In his time with the South Wales club, Lita had loan spells with Birmingham, Brighton and Sheffield Wednesday, netting six goals in 17 appearances for the Owls as he played an important role in their successful bid for survival in the Championship during the 2012/13 season.
He started his career with Bristol City, scoring 38 goals in 100 appearances before being snapped up by Reading for £1million in 2005.
Loan spells with Charlton and Norwich followed before he joined Middlesbrough on a free transfer.
Swansea then paid £1.75million for the striker in 2011.
