Barnsley have completed the signing of former Chelsea youngster Milan Lalkovic and agreed loan deals for Stoke striker George Waring and Manchester United midfielder Ben Pearson.
Forward Lalkovic has signed an 18-month deal at Oakwell following his release from Czech club FK Mladá Boleslav.
And Waring will join up with the Reds for an initial one-month period, as will Pearson.
Reds boss Danny Wilson told the club’s official website: “Milan has a great pedigree and he adds pace and guile to our team. We’re all looking forward to working with him.
“George will give us that presence we’ve been lacking in the final third.
“He’s a very tall lad and he will, hopefully, be able to link the play and help us sustain pressure on the opposition for us.
Slovakian Lalkovic graduated from Chelsea’s academy but was released from the club at the end of last season.
He was loaned to Doncaster Rovers for three months during the 2011-12 season, starting once and making five substitute appearances.
After loan moves to Den Haag and V Guimaraes, Lalkovic joined Walsall on a season-loan where he scored six goals in 42 appearances.
Towering striker Waring is in his second season at the Britannia Stadium having spent time with Everton as a youngster.
All-action midfielder Pearson was named Manchester United’s young player of the year in 2013.
