BARNSLEY boss Mark Robins hailed loan man Marlon Harewood after Saturday’s draw at Middlesbrough, but couldn’t offer any news as to whether he will be at Oakwell next season.
Harewood fired the Reds in front midway, only for Boro to level late on after the visitors had seen Paul McShane sent off in the 69th minute. The Reds fans and Robins are clearly big fans of Harewood though. “We’ll have to see what happens in the Summer with Marlon,” said Robins. “He’s still Blackpool’s player so it’s their shout ultimately, while as far as I’m concerned I’m not sure what funds I’ll have available yet. That’s four goals in eight appearances from him now – that’s a really good return in the Championship. He’s a quality striker as we all know.”
