Both Barnsley and Rotherham United made key signings on deadline day.
The Reds will include in their squad for the Hillsborough derby midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong who has joined on loan from Arsenal to the end of the season.
The 22-year-old has not played a first team game this season. His last action was six games on loan at Fulham last season but he’ll be involved today.
Meanwhile, Rotherham United have signed Crawley winger Nicky Adams who played against them last Saturday.
The Millers, who missed out on a club record signing this week, have paid an undisclosed fee for Adams whose only league goal this season was against today’s New York Stadium visitors Leyton Orient.
Rotherham also rebuffed an enquiry from Coventry City for striker Alex Revell. This week Coventry sold ex-Owls striker Leon Clarke to Wolves for £750,000.
