The opening date of the season - Saturday, August 6 - will see Sheffield Wednesday at home to Rochdale while Sheffield United are away at Oldham.
The Owls will end their season at home to Wycombe while the Blades are away at Exeter, both on May 5.
Other League One derbies next season will see Sheffield Wednesday play Chesterfield at Hillsborough on October 8, with the away fixture on February 18 - a week before the Owls’ second steel city battle.
Sheffield United are away to Chesterfield on November 26, then entertain the Spireites at Bramall Lane on March 24. Chesterfield’s opening game is away against Tranmere and their last match will be at home to Brentford, on May 5.
In the Championship, Barnsley take on local rivals Doncaster Rovers at Oakwell on November 19 with the return derby at the Keepmoat on Monday, January 2.
Barnsley’s opening match on August 6 is away at Nottingham Forest, where ex England manager Steve McClaren has just been appointed coach. Their last game is at home to Brighton, on April 28.
Doncaster will be hoping to spoil the celebrations at Brighton on the opening day, when the visitors play the first ever league match at the new 22,500 Falmer Stadium, on August 6. Rovers’ last game of the season on April 28 is at home to Ipswich.
League Two promotion hopefuls Rotherham United start their campaign at home against Oxford United, with their last game away at Northampton, on May 5.
