rotherham United were held to a 0-0 draw at bottom club Barnet in League Two.
Banned manager Steve Evans had travelled with the team and oversaw the team meeting at the hotel before the game.
When the squad left for Underhill he went to a room at the hotel to watch the game on a specially-arranged feed.
Debut-maker Rose began on the left of a midfield three completed by Taylor and O’Connor, with Pringle playing behind the front two.
However, after Barnet had dominated the opening 15 minutes, things were changed with Rose switching to the right flank and Pringle going on the left to make four across midfield.
Rotherham, going downhill, struggled in the first half.
In the second half the Millers improved but were hampered by the sending off of striker Alex Revell for lunging in. Before the red, a fantastic save denied Rotherham. From Pringle’s free-kick, Revell got free for a header six yards out only for Stack to somehow deny him with an outstretched right hand.
Next it was Shearer showing his worth with a flying save to brilliantly prevent Fuller’s 20-yarder finding the top corner.
Rose and Odejayi were replaced by Ainsworth and Agard.
Holmes fired inches wide of the far post.
Ainsworth’s on-target shot was blocked by Fuller with Rotherham much improved this half.
With 10 minutes left Revell was sent off after sliding in and catching Stephens.
