Our clubs continued where they left off from last week on Saturday, with another four winners, a draw and only two defeats.

Even the weather did not deter our fans - though sadly it might this weekend, if the weather predictions prove to be correct.

In the Toolstation NCEL First Division, Hallam crashed to their heaviest defeat since Ryan Hindley took charge when they crashed 5-0 to Knaresborough Town at Sandygate.

It simply was not their day and Ryan had the job of picking them up inside three days, when they faced strugglers Dronfield Town at Sandygate on Tuesday. And they bounced back in some style, as Sheffield United loanee Jake Wright’s hat-trick helped them register a 4-1 win.

On Saturday they travel to Lincoln Moorland Railway where three points looked gift wrapped for them whilst next Tuesday they visit neighbours Worsbrough Bridge in the League Cup third round.

Worsbrough, meanwhile, bounced back to winning ways when they beat Lincoln 3-0 at Park Road.

It was their first win in four league games, but have lost only once in their last seven league and cup games. On Saturday they face a tough test against Knaresborough Town at Park Road.

In the Premier Division Handsworth Parramore, who have signed ex-Sheffield FC man Steve Woolley from Goole AFC, got back to winning ways when the beat hosts Glasshoughton Welfare 3-0.

In the Evo-Stik Division One South, Stocksbridge Park Steels saw their game at their Look Local Stadium against Markey Drayton Town called off.

As it is now they must train hard in readiness to face the second placed club Mickleover Sports at home on Saturday.

Sheffield FC travelled to face inform Spalding United and again their poor away form told its own tale with another 2-0 defeat.

Then on Tuesday they visited Farsley Celtic in the Doodson League Cup fourth round and crashed to an unjust 4-2 defeat. On Saturday they try again to play at home against a very much in-form Newcastle Town.

In the NCEL Premier Division, Parkgate made it back to back wins for the first time this season when they beat visitors Garforth Town 3-2.

Then on Tuesday they visited league leaders Tadcaster Albion for a tough looking game and lost 2-0.

On Saturday they should get back to winning ways when they visit a struggling Armthorpe Welfare side.

Staveley’s magnificent 11-match winning run almost came to a losing end last Saturday when they drew 1-1 at Bridlington Town.

On Saturday they entertain a stubborn Barton Town at Inkersall Road.

Maltby Main bounced back like true sportsmen after last weeks 11-goal drubbing, to beat hosts and bottom club Nostell Miners Welfare 4-1, with Brian Cusworth back to his best with a hat trick.

On Saturday they travel again, this time to next to the bottom Glasshoughton Welfare.
