Wigan Athletic goalkeeper Scott Carson faces a spell on the sidelines with an ankle injury.
The former England international, who played nine times while on loan at Sheffield Wednesday six years ago, turned his ankle during the warm-up prior to Sunday’s Championship clash with Charlton and left The Valley on crutches.
He was replaced by youngster Lee Nicholls, who impressed on his league debut with a clean sheet in the 0-0 draw and is set to keep his place against QPR tonight.
Jamie O’Hara, meanwhile, has been taken off the transfer list at Wolves, a decision head coach Kenny Jackett believes is “for the good of the team and the club”.
The former Tottenham midfielder had spent four months in the wilderness until he was handed a place on the bench against Bradford on Saturday and his manager will now see if he can earn a place in the side.
“It was a footballing decision - I’ve had no pressure from above me to select him on Saturday or to bring him back into the training group,” Jackett said.
“I have to make decisions every day and every week.”
Cardiff City defender Kevin McNaughton has prolonged his loan spell at Bolton Wanderers by a further two months.
