Driver vows to return to grid

JEROME d’Ambrosio says his F1 career is not over despite Dinington-based Virgin replacing him with Frenchman Charles Pic for the 2012 season.

D’Ambrosio finished above teammate Timo Glock in the drivers’ championship by virtue of 14th-place finishes in Australia and Canada. Despite that, d’Ambrosio is currently without a drive but hopes he to remain on the grid.

“I finished on a high note with a great weekend, my best of the season,” he said. “The team was happy with my season. The new goal of course is to be here in F1 next year.”
