WITH just over 100 days until the Olympic Games begin, Nick Robinson-Baker continues to fine-tune preparations in his pursuit of glory.
The City of Sheffield diver cut short his holidays as he flew out to Moscow on Easter Monday for the third leg of the FINA Diving World Series (April 13-14). In Russia he will once again compete with partner Chris Mears as the duo aim to get as much competition practice before the real test comes on August 1.
Robinson-Baker, who competed at the 2008 Games in Beijing, previously insisted that the key to success was getting as much competition-time as possible and this is certainly the case when looking at the 24-year-old’s packed schedule.
He and Mears finished sixth in the 3 metre synchro in the first leg of the series, which took place in Dubai last month. The pair will be hoping to once again hone their partnership in Moscow before jetting out to Tijuana in Mexico, for the fourth and final leg of the series, the following week.
