WHITLEY Hall have set up a repeat final in the Black Sheep Yorkshire Champions Trophy against crack side Wrenthorpe.
The Ecclesfield side comfortably saw off Woodhouse Grange in their semi-final to make it the first time in Yorkshire’s top club competition that the same two teams have reached successive finals.
In last year’s final, Whitley beat Wrenthorpe thanks to a tremendous matchwinning innings from Jaco Castle.
After restricting Woodhouse Grange to 193-7, Whitley cruised home by seven wickets in just 30 overs with Castle striking 78 not out off 33 balls. Neil Longhurst made 45 and Alex Welsh 36. Wrenthorpe, 258-7 (Gary Fellows 112) beat Woodlands, 112.
The final will be staged at Elsecar on September 16.
