Yorkshire Council champions Whitley Hall managed to get in their game against Tickhill at Baxter Field,and set the guests a target of 242-5, with solid batting from Alex Fletcher, 48, Chris Siddall, 45, and Matt Milburn, 41. Tickhill never threatened and fell for 136, wickets shared by James Brown and teenager Aaron Woodhead.
Hosts Wath were bowled for just 122, with three wickets each for Coal Aston’s Reece Shutt and Liam Johnson. Aston fell just one run short, despite a fine unbeaten 81 from Shutt, the Wath attackers Mark Barlow, 5-24 and Derek Mitchell, 3-29.
Kexborough enjoyed an eight-wicket win over Millhouses Works in Division One, after seeing off the hosts for 85, their main men Andy Moore, 5-15, and Joe Bullock, 54no.
There were two fine bowling performances in Sheffield Collegiate’s win over Conisbrough, Oliver Jackson bagging 6-45 in Collegiate’s 171, and Rob Shaw claiming 6-43 in Conisbrough’s 135 ( James Doran 55).
Hallam held Upper Haugh to 197-9, Danny Bowering 53, and cruised to 201-3, Jack Snelling 58 and Jim Peck 45.
In Division Two Aston Hall make 158, teenager Will Scott hitting 58, while junior Tom Bolland earned 5-35 for guests Sheffield United, dismissed for 105.
Paul Garnett struck 62 of Bradfield’s 177-8, guests Whitley Hall closing on 135-6.
