Fishlake made a winning start to their Pontefract & Cricket League Division One campaign, beating visiting Nostell by three wickets.

Ian Walker (4-21) was the pick of the Fishlake attack as the Wakefield side were bowled out for 96.

Hooton Pagnell (126) fell short replying to Stainborough’s 165 all out, Alwyn Dyke (4-40) the most successful of the Hooton bowlers.

Askern slumped to 90 all out when replying to West Bretton’s 134-5 (Mantovani 4-32, J Gillies 4-45) in their Division Two clash.

Barnby Dun fared better when entertaining Castleford-based Allerton Bywater.

They edged home with two wickets to spare after Mark Nurse had earlier taken 7-35 in the visitors’ knock of 128 all out.

An unbeaten 100 by James Stewart laid the foundations for Hatfield Town’s 214-5 in their winning draw against Whitley (142-6).

Brodsworth Main (108-9) suffered a five-wicket defeat at the hands of visiting Brook-Walton in their opening Division Three game.

A top score 54 by Neil Blackman helped steer Rossington Main to a 37-run win over Hundhill.

Hundhill struggled against both Kelly (4-22) and Morrell (4-41).

Whitehouse (41) was the mainstay of Kilnhurst’s 150 all out at home to Yorkshire Main.

Main, for whom Hathaway had earlier taken 5-26, were all out for 107 in reply, Martin Spavin top-scoring with 51.

Thurnscoe (79-6) dished out a four-wicket beating to Bentley Colliery.

A 6-17 spell by Sanders helped Sykehouse put the skids under Ferrybridge (61) in their Division Four clash. Sykehouse had earlier made 112-9.

Fenwick (78 all out) lost by 26 runs at home to Division Five rivals Wombwell.

Thurnscoe (Jackson 50) romped to a 121-run win over Old Sharlston (83 all out).

Bullcroft (133-7) claimed a three-wicket win over Stainborough.

Fishlake A (106-8) also banked maximum points when posting a four-wicket win at Thorpe Audlin.

Barnby Dun A (48-5) beat Wakefield Thornes (46 all out) in a low-scoring game.

Sarge (94) and Platt (61) both starred with the bat in Hatfield Town A’s 215-9 in their 81-run win at Whitley Bridge.

Brodsworth B (103 all out) claimed the spoils in their 38-run Division Seven win at Allerton Bywater.

Butterworth (6-34) led the way as Bentley A (118-8) whipped Thorpe Audlin A out for 79. Smith also weighed in with 4-17.

Hooton Pagnell B (193-7) beat hosts West Bretton A (178 all out) by 15 runs.

Askern B (85-8) edged a two-wicket Division Eight win at Rossington B (84 all out).

Pegler (65 all out) suffered a six-wicket defeat at Ryhill.

A 5-11 haul by Speight proved in vain as Sykehouse (95 all out) suffered a five-wicket home defeat against Normanton.
