TREETON posted a huge 370-2 against Bradfield, with both openers hitting centuries.
Steve Foster (159) and Scott Cunningham (129) put on 248 for the first wicket while Danny Kemp struck an unbeaten 62.
Bradfield didn’t know what had hit them, and came off with a reply of sorts, 110-7, Daryl Williams 59.
Whiston had gone to a lot of trouble and expense in adding to their Premier Division campaign line-up, signing six newcomers, including former Wickersley opener Andy Tomlinson and former Hampshire League all-rounder Sohail Anwar.
However, it didn’t help in their opening game at Barnsley, where the hosts reached 203 with an unbeaten 66 from Richard Wilkinson. They then dismissed Whiston for 117, wickets shared by youngster Jamie Green and Mike Thompson.
Wickersley were seven-wicket winners at Houghton Main thanks mainly to Haidar Jahangir, who finished with figures of 4-20, and Carl Tiler, who ended up 76 not out with the bat. Hallam got rid of Rockingham for 102 to win by three wickets, Matt Williamson claiming 5-32.
Wath had eight wickets in hand after passing Aston Hall’s modest 116, James Barnard hitting 49no and Andy Wood 40no for the Moor Road outfit.
Dearne and Conisbrough B in Division Four topped the 300 mark. Jonathan Scaife and Mark Chambers grabbed centuries for Dearne as did Nathan Lovell for Conisbrough.
